Since the COVID-19 pandemic, integrating digital health strategies into patient care has been paramount to ensure patients get the advice and help they need from their doctors.
CDHF recognizes the benefits of virtual care strategies for individuals suffering from digestive diseases and disorders; from complex, chronic conditions to occasional/common issues, such as constipation and diarrhea. CDHF is setting out to assess the use of virtual health care by patients and their caregivers (i.e. phone, email, text, video, virtual providers). We aim to understand the utilization of virtual health care within the Gastroenterology space, and ultimately identify resources/tools to support the promotion and adoption of virtual care services and help patients navigate their care with greater ease.
